20-Apr-2008	The new season is almost upon us. Teams for next weeks pre-season friendlies are now online.
07-Apr-2008	Outdoor practice will take place every Thursday at Cefn Saeson (weather permitting) at 6pm until the commencement of the new season. Pre season friendlies take place on Saturday 26th April at Ynysygerwn and Sunday 27th April at Briton Ferry Town. Would all players please inform Jason Carpenter of their availability.
07-Feb-2008	The AGM has been further delayed and will now be held on Monday 25th February.
25-Jan-2008	The AGM has now been changed to Monday 11th February. Great news on the playing front. A warm welcome to Martin Rees and Chris Stevens.
01-Jan-2008	Happy New Year everyone. Nets start at the Gnoll at 5:30pm on Thursday 10th January. The AGM will be held at Neath Rugby Club on Monday 28th January commencing at 7:15pm. Neil Baggridge is going into hospital on 5th January to have pins removed from his leg. Neil is likely to miss the 2008 season and we wish him well for a swift return to fitness.
18-Nov-2007	The SWCA fixtures for season 2008 are now online. We have strengthened for the new season and welcome Rob Mathias back from injury, together with new arrivals, Craig Jewel, Chris Pemberton and Jamie Mostyn. Neil Baggridge has decided on another spell away and we wish him well at Briton Ferry Town. Congratulations to Jason Carpenter and his wife on the birth (5.1lb) of baby boy Arron. The AGM will be in the New Year.
24-Aug-2007	Congratulations to Steve W. Jones and his wife on the birth of their first child. A bouncing (5.5lb) baby girl.
19-Aug-2007	The Mighty Cim avoid relegation and are able to re-group and strengthen for a major assault on the Division 3 title in season 2008. First XI photo now online
15-Jul-2007	A good win yesterday steers us 41 points clear of the drop. It's important we complete the double over Ffynone next week.
03-Jul-2007	Additional matches have been arranged for this Sunday against Metal Box and Wednesday 11th July against Royal Ascot C.C. Both matches start at 2-00pm.
24-Jun-2007	Half way through the season already. A good win yesterday steered us 25 points clear of the drop zone. It's going to be a tough second half!
12-Jun-2007	Congratulations to young Matthew Pryce on achieving his first team place this coming Saturday at the ripe old age of 13. Currently top of the second XI averages Matthew is given his chance to show what he can do. Dad Jonathan who has been oozing runs in the second XI also regains his first XI place so will be there to give Matthew some much needed support.

03-Jun-2007	The batting has yet to click and another poor display saw us post a poor total of 136 against Landore. And that's without their main bowlers being present! Our bowling however, was back on form and Landore, with 9 wickets down, just managed to scrape a win with veteran Derek Davies getting an edge to seal the match.
27-May-2007	After a good display against Ffynone, the bowling went AWOL against Aberdare. A formidable total of 362-6 was never going to be achieved, but the rain gods smiled and a brief downpour saw us achieve a 5 - 5 draw. However, an incorrect number of overs was deducted by the umpires and Aberdare have lodged a complaint with the SWCA in an attempt to get the full 10 draw points.
02-May-2007	A disappointing start for the First XI who wilted away in the sunshine. A poor batting display saw us lose by 7 wickets to Maesteg Celtic. Things can only get better!
17-Feb-2007	Nets are now in full swing and a big welcome to the new faces who shall remain nameless for now (there's still poachers out there!). Baggy is making a remarkable recovery but is likely to miss the first month of the season. He's still good for 500 runs though. News is reaching me of a major signing which will finally make the difference of achieving promotion.Shhhhhh!
28-Oct-2006	The presentation evening was held at the Cambrian Arms last evening. Some photographs are now online.
26-Oct-2006	Neil Baggridge is due out of hospital tomorrow on his crutches. We would rather see him with a bat in his hands (although most bowlers wouldn't!).
23-Oct-2006	The AGM was poorly attended. There was no change to Club Captains. The First XI player of the year was Neil Baggridge. Geraint Bowden was the Second XI player of the year and Robert Harper the Third XI player of the year. Clubman of the year went to Steve W. Jones. Congratulations to everyone.
22-Oct-2006	Disastrous news. Neil Baggridge has a badly broken ankle caused by playing rugby. Neil could be doubtful for next season. Get well soon Neil.
03-Oct-2006	The Annual General Meeting will be held at Neath Rugby Club on Monday 23rd October 2006 commencing at 7-00pm. If you haven't received your notification then Mike hasn't got your address. Please get your details to Mike ASAP. The Presentation Evening will be held at the Cambrian Arms on Friday 27th October.

27-Aug-2006	The agony of it all. Just two points off promotion. Yet another season to look back on and say "if only.......................". Congratulations on being in with a shout lads, let's go one (or two) better next season. We're still a force to be reckoned with!

04-Jun-2006	After a dismal wet month of May the boys hit form yesterday. Chasing an impressive Briton Ferry Town total of 227 we got them for the loss of only 5 wickets. Paul Crocker did the damage with a match winning 97.
27-Apr-2006	It's been a long winter but the weather is set fair for the start of the new season. Hopefully we can go one better this year and achieve promotion. Good luck lads! The first Teamsheet of the year is now online. Subscriptions (£20) are now due. Get your money to Mike as soon as possible please.
19-Dec-2005	Yes, it's finally arrived. The Club Calendar for 2006 is now online. All members are invited to a get together at 1-30pm on Boxing Day at Neath Rugby Club. Indoor nets commence at the Gnoll on Thursday 3rd January. We are back to our normal time of 5-30pm this year. Please arrive by 5-10pm to allow for a prompt start.

15-Oct-2005	The Third Eleven averages have been updated. Data is still awaited for Maesteg Town (16th July), Gowerton 'A' (6th August) and Gowerton 'B' (20th August).
14-Oct-2004	A reminder to all members that the Annual General Meeting of the Club will be held at Neath rugby club on Monday 17th October at 7:15pm. Nigel Gunter is standing down as Chairman and we thank him for his many years of excellent service. Nigel will, however, remain as a member of the Management Committee.
01-Oct-2005	The Club is holding a racing night at the Tudor Inn on Friday 18th November at 7-30pm. See Tank if you want to buy a horse for a fiver.
15-Sep-2005	The Club would like all members to save the vouchers from the new Tesco Promotion. Please ask your family and friends to join in and pass all vouchers to the secretary.

01-Sep-2005	Seventh Heaven it wasn't to be, but a winning draw saw the Cim achieve their highest ever position in the SWCA. A fitting end to a rollercoaster of a season. If this team stays together then hopefully we can go one better next season and achieve the promotion we so narrowly missed out on.
21-Aug-2005	A super sixth win sends the Mighty Cim soaring into second place. We need 26 points or a total washout to secure promotion. An excellent achievement chaps, lets end the season in style. Paul Crocker gets into party mood for the big finish.
13-Aug-2005	Five wins on the bounce secures Third Division status for the Cim. What an amazing achievement to come from rock bottom. We're only 17 points off second spot so promotion is not out of the question. Baglan C.C. beat us first time around so we need to continue our impressive form against them next week.
09-Aug-2005	The Photo Gallery for Season 2005 has been started. Personal reviews will be added at the end of the season but for now you can view reviews for Neil Baggridge, Wayne Thomas, Chris Stephens and Ken Hanney.
07-Aug-2005	Another superb win against Maesteg steers the Mighty Cim into safer waters. Three matches to go and only 37 points away from the Championship.
03-Aug-2003	The Mid Week XI have reached the Final of the Neath Guardian Cricket League Editors Cup for the second year in a row. Let's hope we can win it this year. Our opponents are Port Talbot Town C.C. and the Final is at the Gnoll on Sunday 14th August. Wickets Pitched at 14:00
31-Jul-2005	Into the final month of the season and a hat trick of wins has eased our relegation worries. In fact we're only 24 points off third place. A win against Maesteg on Saturday should see us rocket up the table.
17-Jul-2005	The First XI secured a long awaited win at Carmarthen Wanderers yesterday which finally lifts us off the bottom of the table. We're only five points from safety and with performances like that our Third Division status should be secure at the end of the season.
06-Jul-2005	The Third XI are home in the Cup on Sunday. The weather is set to be scorching so come along and enjoy some cricket, sunshine and cool refreshments.
25-JUN-2005	We find ourselves halfway through the season already. What a contrast to last season when the Cim sat proudly at the top of the table at this time. Now we reside at rock bottom. But do not despair! The escape plans are back on the drawing board. Next week a new Cim will emerge. The Phoenix is set to rise from the flames!
12-Jun-2005	An excellent win for the First XI yesterday chasing 200. More performances like that will steer us well clear of the relegation zone. The Third XI averages have now been started.
10-Jun-2005	More GREAT NEWS! Jeremy Peters will join the Cim at the end of the month. Welcome Jeremy.
08-Jun-2005	Craig Kelly departs the Cim for Briton Ferry Steel. We wish him well for the future.
06-Jun-2005	GREAT NEWS! Neil Baggridge returns to the fold. The Great Escape begins! The Cim play Royal Ascot C.C. on Wednesday 8th June commencing at 14:00. The weather is set fair so come along and enjoy the cricket whilst basking in some warm sunshine. Cool refreshments will be available.
03-Jun-2005	Crisis at the Cim as the First XI hit the bottom of division three and the skipper stands down to concentrate on his playing performance. Anthony (Beaver) Davies takes the helm to steer us out of trouble. An over confident Second XI lose to Hirwaun after declaring on 205-5. The Third XI exit the West Wales Cup in the first round but still share top spot in the table with Neath and Swansea 'B'.
